The Blue & White is a football fanzine that is dedicated to Chester FC. The fanzine was set up in 2011 by editors Richard and Neil Bellis who quickly roped in Michael Kinlan to do the designing for them. We publish three issues a season, in August, December and April. All profits we make are donated to the Junior Blues.
Richard is a masters student at UCL studying History and Philosophy of Science. He graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Philosophy. His first Chester game was the promotion winning match against Scarborough in 2004, which he watched on top of a van outside the stadium. Naturally he was immediately hooked. He has written for various websites including When Saturday Comes, In Bed With Maradona and The Two Unfortunates.
Neil is a reporter at the Chester Leader and Standard and Communications Director for Chester FC. He has a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a diploma in Newspaper Journalism both from Cardiff University.
Michael is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. He comes from Middlesbrough, but lives in Edinburgh and supports Manchester United (for legitimate non glory-hunting reasons). So he has nothing at all linking him to Chester. He’s designing TB&W simply for the love of football, much to the dismay of his girlfriend.
